I am a writer, living the writing life with clarity and grace (a la Joseph Williams’ Style: Ten Lessons in Clarity and Grace). Sometimes living it in confusion and dismay, but always writing. I’m interested in how we use language to connect, to forge relationships, and to create intimacy through both our craft as writers and our skill as readers. And I’ve been playing with those ideas here in this indy publishing sandbox.

Right here, right now, the thing I care most about is writing: mine, yours, other people’s. How we produce it, access it, value it, and share it. And how we get better at communicating our thoughts, raising our voices, and telling our truths.

Grounded in writing, teaching, and editing expertise going back well over thirty years, I want to share with you—not simply as an outlet for my writing, but as a way of looking at the world. Life is made up of a series of “nows”— Aha! moments we sometimes miss because we’re too distracted by a past we cannot change and a future that hasn’t happened yet. I care about mindful awareness and I hope that what I choose to pay attention to, in the moment, will also speak to you. Lanugage has the power to connect us, one word, one line, one paragraph at a time.
