Living and Writing with Clarity and Grace

I launched In Our Own Ink over a year ago as an experiment in publishing to explore the ways we use language to connect, to forge relationships, and to create intimacy through both our craft as writers and our skill as readers. It’s been an unstructured playground, thus far.

Right here, right now, the thing I care most about is writing: mine, yours, other people’s.

With writing, teaching, and editing expertise going back to the 1990s until I left the daily-grind workforce in 2022, I have so much to share with you! I will introduce you to a behind-the-scenes look at what it means to be a late-in-life writer actively engaged in creating and living a writing life. I care about how well we mindfully attend to our lives and our writing with “clarity and grace” (Style, Joseph Williams). Lanugage has the power to connect us, one word, one line, one paragraph at a time. This is a place for me to keep engaging with the writing community, and for us to connect, to enrich our lives through learning and discovery.
